Cold room price by size (installed, USD)
Ranges cover panels, refrigeration, doors, controls and standard installation in a prepared building. They exclude land, shell, racking and standby power.

What drives cold room cost
Frozen (−18 to −25 °C) typically runs 40–60% above chilled (0 to +5 °C) for the same volume; blast freezing can be 2–3× because of the much higher kW per m³.
80 mm PIR is normal for chilled, 100–150 mm for frozen. Each step up adds material cost but cuts running cost — usually worth it above 30 °C ambient.
Condensing unit vs multi-compressor rack vs CO₂/NH₃ plant. Small rooms use packaged units; above ~250 m³ a centralised plant with redundancy changes the cost base.
Insulated floors for frozen rooms, sliding vs hinged doors, air curtains, strip curtains, racking, ramps and dock seals are frequently excluded from headline quotes.
Civil works, slab preparation, power supply upgrade, crane access and commissioning add 15–35% on top of the equipment price in most markets.
Freight, duties, local labour and certification move landed cost by ±25%. GCC and Africa projects often carry higher installation and spare-part provisioning.
