Energy and insulation considerations
Energy is the largest controllable operating cost in most cold stores. Panel thickness, floor insulation, vapour sealing, door discipline, condensing strategy, floating head pressure, variable-speed drives and evaporator control usually matter more than headline compressor efficiency. Energy assumptions should be stated in the RFQ so suppliers quote against the same conditions.
