How the sourcing process works
1 — Define the requirement
The buyer describes the project: product, temperature band, volume, throughput, site country, power situation and timeline. Calculators and checklists on the site help fill the technical gaps before anything is sent to suppliers.
2 — Prepare a structured RFQ
That input is converted into a structured technical RFQ with a consistent scope, so every supplier answers the same question. No supplier receives a different brief.
3 — Match qualified third-party suppliers
Suppliers, manufacturers, EPC contractors and turnkey providers are shortlisted against the stated scope, country and delivery terms. Supplier options are compared based on buyer requirements — no brand is favoured by default.
4 — Compare comparable offers
The buyer receives offers that can be read side by side: scope, equipment, exclusions, delivery terms, lead time and service. Cost benchmarks help sanity-check what arrives.
5 — Contract directly with the chosen provider
The buyer contracts directly with the selected supplier or EPC contractor. Final responsibility remains with the selected supplier, EPC or finance provider.
What buyers receive
- • A structured technical scope you can reuse with any supplier
- • A shortlist of relevant third-party suppliers for your country and scope
- • Comparable quotations against one identical brief
- • Cost and energy benchmarks to test whether offers are realistic
- • RFQ, planning and compliance checklists
- • Human expert guidance during specification and comparison
What ColdMatch does not guarantee
- • Prices, lead times and delivery dates — these come from supplier quotations only
- • Equipment availability, stock or manufacturing capacity
- • Engineering design, installation, commissioning, warranty or performance
- • Financing approval, terms or eligibility
- • Regulatory, customs or certification outcomes

Financing requests submitted through this platform may, subject to user consent, be shared with independent third-party financing providers for evaluation purposes. Any financing approval, terms, pricing, underwriting, due diligence and contractual arrangements are determined solely by the financing provider. Supplier-neutral procurement, explained
ColdMatch does not buy, stock or resell equipment, so there is no margin attached to any particular manufacturer. Suppliers are shortlisted against the buyer's written scope, country and timeline, and supplier options are compared based on buyer requirements. Turnkey scopes are sourced through qualified third-party EPC partners rather than delivered by ColdMatch. Final responsibility remains with the selected supplier, EPC or finance provider.
Supplier-neutral procurement
No reselling, no exclusive brand representation, no commission steering the shortlist.
Structured RFQ process
One identical technical brief to every supplier, so offers stay comparable.
Technical scope preparation
Load, temperature, volume, power and standards captured before quoting.
Multiple qualified supplier comparison
Several options per scope, evaluated by the buyer against stated criteria.
Commercial confidentiality
Project details are shared with suppliers only for the purpose of quoting.
Third-party supplier responsibility
The selected provider contracts, delivers and warrants the scope.
Independent financing partners
Financing options may be available through independent third-party providers.
Global B2B Group ecosystem
Cold-chain specialization within a wider industrial procurement ecosystem.
Human expert guidance
Procurement specialists support specification and comparison, not sales.

Where to go next
How do I estimate the cooling load for my cold store?
Direct answer: a cold store's cooling load is the sum of four components — heat through walls, roof and floor (transmission), product pull-down, door infiltration, and internal gains from lights, people and forklifts. Room size, target temperature, insulation standard, local ambient temperature and daily throughput drive the result. Use the cooling-load calculator to get a design duty in kW and TR with an optimistic / base / pessimistic range, then send the result directly into a structured RFQ so every manufacturer quotes the same duty.
Start from a city preset (ambient design temperature pre-filled):
Planning estimate only — not a certified engineering calculation. It does not guarantee equipment capacity, energy consumption or compliance; final sizing must be confirmed by the selected manufacturer or a qualified refrigeration engineer.
