Cold chain project planner

Four short steps turn your cold storage idea into a planning blueprint: rough capacity, published cost range, equipment, milestones, risks, compliance sources and a quote-readiness check. No account needed; answers stay in this browser.

Step 1 of 4: Product

Before you buy: quote-readiness check

RFQ readiness: 0 of 12 confirmed (0%)

Equal weight per item, no hidden scoring. Suppliers quote more accurately — and comparably — when these are settled.

Supplier qualification checklist

  • Comparable installed references you can contact
  • Local or regional service capability and response time
  • Refrigerant and pressure-equipment competence for your jurisdiction
  • Panel fire rating and food-contact certificates
  • Clear warranty terms and spare-parts availability
  • Commissioning procedure and handover documents
  • Insurance and contract terms (payment milestones, penalties)

Subjective criteria: weigh these yourself; ColdMatch does not rate suppliers.

Questions about the planner

Do I need an account to use the planner?
No. The planner, blueprint, readiness checklist and quote comparison all work without signing in. Your draft is kept only in this browser. Signing in is optional and only used to save work into a project workspace.
Where do the cost ranges come from?
From ColdMatch's published cost baseline for installed or turnkey cold storage, adjusted by region where available. They are planning ranges, not supplier quotes, and exclude the items listed under scope.
How is the readiness score calculated?
It is the share of the twelve checklist items you have confirmed, with equal weight and no hidden scoring. Missing items are listed so you can resolve them before requesting quotes.
Who must verify the blueprint?
A qualified refrigeration engineer must confirm heat load and equipment; electrical, refrigerant-safety and, for pharma, GDP specialists must confirm their areas. ColdMatch does not lend or give financial advice.
How do I compare quotes fairly?
Convert every quote to one currency with a dated exchange rate you enter, compare cost per kW of stated capacity, and check which scope items each quote excludes. The comparison table flags missing dates, capacities and exclusions.
