Cooling & Condenser Pumps

Cooling water & condenser pumps — for cooling towers and condenser loops

Source condenser water and cooling tower pumps for industrial refrigeration, chillers and process cooling: open-loop split-case, vertical turbine and end-suction pumps with corrosion-resistant materials.

  • Flow 20–10,000 m³/h for large tower loops
  • Split-case double-suction for high flow / low NPSH
  • Vertical turbine for basin-mounted installations
  • Bronze-fitted, duplex stainless or coated cast iron
  • VFD control matched to tower fan staging

FAQ

Cooling & Condenser Pumps — frequently asked

How do I size condenser water flow?

Rule of thumb: 3 US GPM per ton of refrigeration (≈0.054 L/s per kW) at 5.5°C ΔT. Adjust to the chiller condenser and tower selection at the design wet-bulb.

Split-case or end-suction?

Split-case (double-suction) is preferred above ~200 m³/h — lower NPSH required, easier maintenance without breaking pipe. End-suction is fine for smaller duties and tighter budgets.

What about tower basin water quality?

Bronze-fitted or duplex stainless internals extend life in open loops with chlorides. Add basket strainers and side-stream filtration; specify mechanical seals rated for the treatment chemistry.
