How to use these cost figures
- Pick the right unit first. A cold room is priced by room size, a warehouse per m³ or pallet position, a blast freezer per tonne per day of freezing, and a refrigeration plant per kW of cooling. Comparing figures in different units gives misleading budgets.
- Check what the range includes. Most ranges cover panels, refrigeration, doors, controls and installation inside a prepared building. The building shell, civil works, standby power, racking and grid upgrades are usually priced separately.
- Adjust for your site. Ambient temperature, electricity supply, freight, import duties and local labour move the final price; the calculators let you enter your own location and tariff.
