Phased execution: build the new envelope adjacent, commission and load-test on independent refrigeration, then tie in through insulated pass-throughs during a planned low-throughput window.
What triggers a refrigerant retrofit?+
R22 is fully phased out; R404A is under Kigali/F-Gas quota with steep price increases. Facilities on these refrigerants typically retrofit within 3–7 years or face parts scarcity and OPEX inflation.
Is modernization cheaper than a new build?+
