Frequently asked questions
What temperatures do slaughterhouses need?+
Carcass chilling typically 0 to +4°C, deboning rooms +8 to +12°C, blast freezers −30 to −40°C, and finished cold storage at +2°C chilled or −18 to −25°C frozen.
Ammonia, CO₂ or HFC — which refrigerant?+
Large facilities usually run ammonia or CO₂ for OpEx and low GWP; mid-sized plants often use HFC or hybrid. ColdMatch benchmarks all three per project.
Do you handle HALAL and export compliance?+
Yes — designs and documentation compatible with HALAL, EU export approval, USDA/FSIS and GCC import requirements.
