Project overview
A Mauritanian seafood exporter needed vertical integration from landing to frozen export container. ColdMatch Group coordinated processing equipment, blast freezers, refrigeration plant, cold storage and utilities under a single tender.
Challenge
- Fragmented supply chain caused inconsistent quality and pricing.
- EU export required stringent traceability and cold-chain integrity.
- Utilities on the industrial estate were limited.
Solution
- Integrated flow from landing → processing → blast freezer → cold storage → export dock.
- Two-stage NH3 plant sized for peak season with heat recovery for wash-down water.
- On-site substation upgrade coordinated with utility.
Result
- Export ASP up 22% via consistent IQF and traceable frozen product.
- Rework and rejection rate cut from 6.4% to under 1.5%.
- EU auditor cleared plant with zero critical findings.
Scope of works
- Sanitary processing hall and equipment
- Blast freezer tunnels
- Ammonia refrigeration with heat recovery
- Cold storage and export dock
- Utility upgrades and permits support
