Is ColdMatch an automatic marketplace?

No. ColdMatch is not an automatic marketplace where buyers and suppliers connect instantly. Every match is prepared by a human sourcing specialist after reviewing the project brief. This ensures introductions are relevant, qualified and aligned with the buyer's technical, commercial and country requirements.

Who can use the ColdMatch portal?

The buyer portal is for commercial and industrial project owners, EPC contractors, food and pharma companies, logistics operators, governments and investors planning cold-chain projects from USD $250K upward. The supplier portal is for verified refrigeration manufacturers, EPC contractors, installers and service providers who meet ColdMatch's qualification criteria.

What information do buyers share in the portal?

Buyers share project basics such as product type, storage temperature, capacity in m³ or pallet positions, site country, timeline, budget band and any special requirements like pharma GDP, solar integration or ammonia safety. ColdMatch uses this to prepare a supplier-ready RFQ and shortlist.

How are suppliers vetted before joining the portal?

Suppliers are reviewed on company registration, manufacturing or contracting capacity, relevant certifications, reference projects, export track record and after-sales service capability. Only verified suppliers receive released briefs, and supplier information is updated based on buyer feedback and delivery performance.

Does ColdMatch charge buyers?

No. ColdMatch is free for qualified buyers. Suppliers and partners participate in a partner programme; however, they cannot pay to be ranked, recommended or added to a shortlist. Commercial compensation never determines supplier selection.

What happens after a buyer selects a supplier?
