Cold storage & refrigeration RFQ — Morocco
Morocco projects are usually export-facing: horticulture through Agadir and Tanger Med, seafood along the Atlantic coast. Send the throughput and product and ColdMatch builds the brief to the export standard you have to meet.
Reference project figures — Morocco
Modelled with the same audited engineering assumptions as the ColdMatch cold storage calculator: design climate for Morocco and an indicative industrial tariff of USD 0.12/kWh. Refrigeration duty is thermal kW, energy is annual kWh at a 0.55 load factor, and CAPEX is the installed volume-based cost (envelope, plant, evaporators, installation, controls and electrical work) — it is not scaled from the duty figure.
| Reference project | Refrigeration duty | Annual energy | Energy cost / yr | Installed CAPEX | USD / m³ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chilled room 400 m³ (+2 to +8 °C) | 8.5 kW | 12 MWh | USD 1,496 | USD 165,200 | USD 413 |
| Frozen store 1,500 m³ (−18 to −25 °C) | 67.3 kW | 173 MWh | USD 20,728 | USD 619,500 | USD 413 |
| Blast freezer 600 m³ (−35 to −40 °C) | 67.3 kW | 142 MWh | USD 17,084 | USD 467,280 | USD 779 |
Indicative planning bands only — not an engineering design, tariff quotation or supplier offer. Your own capacity, product, site and power situation move these numbers; send the RFQ below and a specialist works them through by hand.
Send your Morocco project requirements
Short form — the details you already have are enough. A specialist reviews every brief by hand and replies by email. Nothing is shared with manufacturers before that review.
What changes the price in Morocco
- Agadir and Tanger Med routing to EU markets sets the temperature and transit specification.
- Forced-air, hydro and vacuum pre-cooling suit different crops — the choice changes both capex and shelf life.
- EU export approval drives hygienic design, traceability and temperature records for seafood and produce.
- Solar PV is frequently viable for daytime compressor duty and is worth pricing as a variant.
You submit one RFQ. Our team handles the supplier outreach.
There is no direct buyer-to-supplier connection. Your request comes to the ColdMatch team, which contacts suitable suppliers and manufacturers on your behalf. Supplier and manufacturer information on this site is for research only; it is not a contact directory and does not mean a supplier has been vetted.
- You build your project and submit an RFQ.
- The ColdMatch team validates and organizes the requirements.
- We contact suitable suppliers and manufacturers for you.
- We present their organized responses to you through ColdMatch.

Morocco cold chain RFQ — questions buyers ask
What does a pack-house cold store cost in Morocco?
As a planning range, USD 160–300 per m³ installed for chilled storage and USD 240–400 per m³ for frozen, before civil works. Pre-cooling capacity is priced separately and is usually the decisive item for export produce.
Which regions and sectors are covered?
Agadir and Souss-Massa for export horticulture, Casablanca and Berrechid for distribution and food processing, Tangier and Tanger Med for logistics, Dakhla, Laâyoune and Safi for seafood, plus pharma storage in Casablanca and Rabat.
What happens after I send the RFQ for a Morocco project?
A ColdMatch specialist reads the brief by hand, checks the design basis — capacity, temperature bands, site location, power situation, timeline and budget — and comes back by email with the open questions. Only after that review do we research suppliers. Nothing is sent to a manufacturer automatically and ColdMatch is not an open marketplace.
Can ColdMatch finance a cold storage project in Morocco?
No. ColdMatch Group does not lend and does not give financial advice. Qualified projects can be introduced to independent financing partners — equipment leasing, ECA-backed supplier credit on imported refrigeration and DFI or blended structures. Every approval decision rests with the lender.
What project size does ColdMatch work on?
Commercial and industrial projects from roughly USD 250,000 upwards: cold storage warehouses, blast freezers and IQF tunnels, ammonia and CO₂ plants, ice plants, GDP pharma stores and turnkey EPC builds. Smaller enquiries are still answered, but supplier research is prioritised above that threshold.
